What are Britain's top ten Architectural triumphs?norton antivirus
There are so many. Westminster, St Pauls, Clifton bridge, Crystal Palace, St Pancreas station, Stonehenge.....
I'd look for outstanding 'modern' ones because modern architecture has had such a bad name, so would go for good 20th century mostly.
Have a look at Coventry cathedral for one, by Sir Basil Spence, replacing the old one which was destroyed in WW2.
Will Edit if I think of anything else.
Btw, Crystal Palace isn't there anymore, it burnt down in the 1930's.
Okay, Edit, woken up a bit now, try adding Port Sunlight, Lloyd's building, Glasgow School of Art and Royal Festival Hall.
Gothic Architecture's always wonderful, although the best examples of gothic cathedrals are French.
I like the Royal crescent in bath.
I'm only answering this question to state that the Angel of the North is definitely not an architectural triumph, since it's a sculpture.
The ANGEL of the north
