Elizabeth Tudor 1st what were some of the main Triumphs and Tagedies in her life?

Elizabeth was a scarred but amazing monarch, whose mother Ann Boleyn was executed 3 years after Elizabeth's birth on trumped up charges of treasonable adultery. Her father, Henry the Eighth, was responsible, and her early life was threatened by first her father and then her sister Mary. She was sent to the Tower of London by her sister under suspicion of treason and came close to losing her life. Elizabeth lived her life in poverty and loneliness until her acsension to the throne of England after Mary's death. She loved deeply at least twice, but was intelligent enough and damaged enough emotionally that she would never let any man marry her. Her reign saw some of the greatest theater of any time, with Christopher Marlowe and William Shakespeare writing the plays. She played a cat-and-mouse game with Spain, whose naval forces were far superior, and with the weather's help destroyed them. She was a fascinating and mercurial Queen without ever descending into the psychopathy of her late father.

Elizabeth Tudor is considered by many to be the greatest monarch in English history. When she became queen in 1558, she was twenty-five years old, a survivor of scandal and danger, and considered illegitimate by most Europeans. She inherited a bankrupt nation, torn by religious discord, a weakened pawn between the great powers of France and Spain.
