Motorcyle Guru's and Genious's?

I want to get a motorcyle so bad but my parents wont let me cause I live in a rainy state, so I was wondering if the Triumph Bonneville could be used off road and On-road? I'm a girl so i like the vintage one's and not the crotch-rocket kind of bikes.

Honda XL dual purpose. Good first bike ,inexpensive, lots of used ones, good on or off road.

Triumphs are cool ,but not the best choice for a first ride and not so good in the dirt.

A Triumph Bonneville is a good starter street bike, wont be good for off road. Try to find a street legal dirt bike. Most states have a minimum CC requirement to be street legal. Be sure to take a rider's course before heading out on the open road. Be Safe, Have Fun!!
The Bonneville was my first bike, I loved it. You could ride it on a dirt road, and it would certainly do better than a heavier bike but it really is designed for pavement riding a muddy trail is going to mess it up and won't be fun. Get something like a 250 Honda XL if you want to go off road too.
Get a used Kawasaki KLR 250 (or similar 250-400 cc dual sport), and keep the dual-sport tires on it. You can ride a dual sport in the rain, although it's not really safe because your helmet is not equipped with windshield wipers.
have you gone online and looked at

the bike in question. i didn't think so.
ALL important Q.

What do you fit on? Will it pull your weight ok, or will it throw you around like a doll?

I doubt anything of UK manufacture will be clean, reliable or quiet. Nothing made by imperial measure is easy maintenance-too many tools-too much to know, and either you do it, or you really pay someone else to do it. KISS, stay Japanese, get something common, so you can get bits, and make sure it'll do what you want before you buy it. Always wear good safety equipment/clothing. Never ride alone off-road.
